Karenal Pet cane e gatto – flavoured paste is indicated as a support in cases of increased demand for potassium (reduced intake) and in case of hypokalemia. 

Composition
Sorbitol, potassium salts of citric acid (potassium citrate) 25%, potassium pyrophosphate, yeast (brewer's), glycerol, lupine protein meal, sodium chloride, vegetable oils and fats (sunflower oil)

Technological additives: E551b colloidal silica, E464 hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, E202 potassium sorbate, 1b306(i) tocopherols extruded from vegetable oils.

Action

It helps restore normal blood potassium levels in cats suffering from chronic kidney failure, which occurs in more than 30% of cats over the age of 6.

It helps alleviate chronic inflammation of the interstitial tubules caused by hypokalemia, helps to inhibit the progressive process of kidney disease.
It helps to restore adequate levels of potassium in the body in clinical situations characterized by muscle weakness and lack of appetite, which are notoriously occurring in the case of polyuria and frequent vomiting or as a result of taking diuretics, regardless of the concentration of potassium in the blood.

It contains 125 mg of pure potassium in a single dose.
