AmpliTest Escherichia coli(Real Time PCR)
Escherichia coli-specific DNA sequence detection kitusing the Real Time PCR technique.
Escherichia coli (Escherichia coli ) is a gram-negative bacterium belonging to the Enterobacteriaceae family. More than 180 serotypes belonging to this species have been described. E. coli is a symbiotic bacterium that lives in the large intestine of humans and warm-blooded animals. It can also be found in soil and water, where it ends up in the faeces. The presence of E. coli in water (also known as Coli titer) is a frequently used indicator of water contamination. E. coli , when it enters outside the digestive system , can cause various conditions, including peritonitis and inflammation of the genitourinary system. Particularly dangerous are virulent strains of E. coli that produce toxins and/or are highly invasive. They can cause inflammation of the digestive system and diarrhoea and cause sepsis. Young organisms and immunocompromised organisms are particularly susceptible to infection with E. colibacillosis (colibacillosis). It is estimated that colibacillosis (infection with E. coli) may be the cause of up to half of the deaths of young animals.
The AmpliTest Escherichia coli kit (Real Time PCR) enables the detection ofEscherichia coli-specific DNA sequences in DNA samples isolated from the tissues of an infected animal, faeces, urine or water. The Real Time PCR reaction is duplex. DNA detection of the spirochete takes place in the FAM channel. The second channel (HEX) is used for internal control detection. The controls in the form of DNA molecules obtained by genetic engineering methods included in the kit enable the control of the correct course of the Real Time PCR reaction.
